Kitten's getting some claws!

Marie has started chewing on things. Unfortunately, one of them is me and she likes to do it when she's nursing. The others have done the same and it is usually a pretty short phase. In the past, I've said a loud "Ow!" and pulled them off for a minute. They would cry and get their feelings hurt when I did that and pretty soon they would almost never clamp down. Marie, however, isn't responding the same way. I say "Ow!" and remove her just like the others. But she doesn't cry. She grins and tries to do it again!! I think I'm in trouble with this one.

Make sure you do not smile back or joke with her about it. I know she's adorable when smiling but right then isn't the time to give mixed messages.

She's trying to gnaw my nipple off! I don't think there's a big risk of me playing around with her right then, you know?

Now listen, Melanie: you've got to keep nursing Marie until July, when I have my baby. Then I can bring him/her down to you and you can be my wet nurse. I'll trade you for one or two of your older kids, if you want! They'll love it up here... they can ride the ponies and see Grandma and Grandpa as often as they want!

I have a biter my hands too only she bit the girl at school instead of me! And she's almost 3 years old so those teeth are pretty sharp!

Oh and by the way I'm glad to see you are finally updating your blog! You are the one who got me on the blog train and then you got off! lol but I love it.... I'm going to start printing out entries and making a book for kaylea I think... since I don't have time to keep the other journal I started for her. Technology ruins the world. Ugh.
