Christmas

It is the first weekend in Nov. and I am almost done shopping for the kids and doing pretty well on the rest of my list! It feels so great to already be this far along. Don't tell them, but for their main gifts, Grace and Greta will be getting different interactive dolls and Xander is getting the Superhero version of Heroscape. I'm a little nervous about getting the girls different dolls. I hope they don't end up fighting over them or that they decide one doll is better than the other and someone feels left out. Grace has been insistent that she wants this one. Greta liked that one too at first, but now keeps saying she wants a baby like Marie and not Grace's. I took her to the store to see if there was one she would pick out but she wasn't much help. I tried to convince her that she still wanted the same one that Grace wanted, but she wouldn't go along with it. So, I've picked up this one and I hope she likes it as much as Grace likes hers.

I have a few smaller things for the kids to go with those and might pick up little things I see on sale here and there, but mostly we are done! I'm trying not to buy too much this year. My best scores so far are an Ariel and Barbie Fairy costume I picked up for 70% off after Halloween! The girls love to dress up and these will be perfect! Marie is a hard one because she needs nothing but I think we'll wrap up some diapers and wipes and pull out some old toys for her that the others have outgrown. I can't see a reason to buy her any new toys. I'll probably also get her a new dress and maybe some little bows since Grace and Greta's old ones are a little worn looking.

If you are on my Christmas list, (and you know who you are!) please send me some ideas soon! My goal is to be finished shopping before Dec. Let me know if you want ideas for the kids and I'll put some up.
