Long Weekend

We had a long weekend last weekend. Jon had Fri and Mon off for Veteran's Day and my brother and Kelly came to visit for the weekend. The kids had a great time playing with Uncle Nate and Aunt Kelly! I think they enjoyed themselves too, but they probably spent the ride home talking about how they might not want kids anytime soon! I was still getting over my cold, Greta and Marie were still recovering from ear infections, and on Monday we discovered Xander also had an ear infection and had developed bronchitis!

Grace was especially excited when Uncle Nate "found" some coins in her ear. She had no idea she had her own personal ATM on her head. She is still walking around, holding her ear, and asking us to check and see if there's anymore money in there! She wants us to check Greta and Marie's ears too!

Yesterday, Jon took the girls to the zoo while I enjoyed some one on one time with Marie. You never realize how easy one baby is when you have your first! It was really nice to just have a few hours to play with Marie and I think the girls had fun with Jon. I haven't seen any picures yet from their zoo trip, but if they got any good ones, I'll put some up. Xander also got his first official report card yesterday and he's doing very well. He's on track for everything academically and his behavior is good. The teacher did note that he doesn't seem to be paying attention all the time but he's learning the material anyway.

I also got to have a nice Mom's Night Out last night! I'm so happy to have such a fun group of friends here. What makes it even better is that all of our kids seem to get along just as well as us moms! We closed the restaurant down that we were at and had to move on to another place that stayed open later. I was happy to get home and snuggle with Marie, though! I still don't like being away from her too long because she's so sweet!

My mom requested a Christmas list for the kids (and us) so I'll try to think of somethings tonight and tomorrow and just put it here in case anyone else wanted ideas.

Read portions to your Dad and we both got a kick out of Grace's ATM!!! Tell Xander WTG with his first report card...we're proud of his good report! As for not paying attention but catching the stuff anyway....can we say "Scott"???? He drives me nuts with being able to do this as well as he does! Do other Wolfzorns do these things, too??
